EXPERIENCE
Prof. Samir has over two decades of experience in
research, teaching and industry. He worked in various positions in industry (AV
Birla Group) in technical as well as managerial roles. He was an internal
facilitator for TPM implementation at Indo Gulf Corporation Limited winning the
TPM Excellence Award from JIPMΈ Japan in the year 2000. He joined IMT Ghaziabad
as Associate Professor in 2004. Thereafter, he moved to MDI Gurgaon in 2005 and
subsequently to IIM Lucknow in 2007.
Prof. Samir has published many papers in reputed refereed academic
journals. He has co-authored two books and also writes for popular business
magazines. His work has more than three thousand citations in Google Scholar with an i10 Index of 9
and about five hundred citations in Scopus
with an H-Index of 6. His biographic profile appears in Marquis Whos Who 30th
Pearl Anniversary Edition. Presently, he teaches supply chain and operations
management courses to post graduate and doctoral students along with
involvement in other academic and administrative activities.
